Nativity Figures

Currently online are three variations of a nativity figures, all nativity figures are hand carved and painted by Kathleen Schuck. There are no two figures exactly the same, so every set is unique. For sizing, Mary is the smallest figure, and the Black Magi is the tallest. Small sets range from 4IN to 6 1/2IN, Medium sets range from 4 1/2IN to 7 1/2IN, Large sets range from 5 1/2IN to 9IN. Mountain Dulcimers

Kathleen is also a Master Luthier making mountain dulcimers since the 1970’s. There are no laminates or plywood used in their construction. All have four strings and are 36-38 inches long. Each instrument will come in its own carry bag and a dulcimer music book will be included. I use maple with spruce top which looks like a natural light wood all around, or walnut and spruce or cherry and spruce. Walnut is a dark rich brown. Cherry is a light to medium reddish brown wood. Spruce is used on most instruments because it resonates well. Each gives a slightly different tone. Maple is warm and full. Walnut is a mellow deeper tone. Cherry is bright and springy. All tops are spruce because it is the best wood to push the sound out. TO ORDER CLICK BELOW.

Woodzies

"Woodzies", here is a one of a kind hand carved piece of art. This fine fellow may be sad, solemn, silly, sullen, or smiling but he is definitely unique. Often, the shape of the bark or it’s texture determine the spirit of the carving. But this artist thinks that the expression seen on this carving comes from the spirit of the bark itself. The “Woodsizes” are carved in Idaho cottonwood bark. Most of them are about 16” long. No choice, no two are the same. TO ORDER CLICK BELOW.

Santa

Here is a one of a kind hand carved piece of art. Kathleen brings you Santa, the personification of the spirit of Christmas. Santas are hand carved and painted in Idaho, finished size is aproximatley 6in. No two are alike! TO ORDER CLICK BELOW.

Eskimos

You have to own these cute figures! Kathleen brings you Ekimos, the people of the artic coast. Each carving is standing on either snow or ice. Men carry a spear and fish while the women carry a bell. Eskimos are hand carved and painted in Idaho, finished size is aproximatley 7in not including the fur trim. No two are alike! TO ORDER CLICK BELOW.
